Mangoes Resort and Restaurant in Port Vila offers 29 beautifully appointed boutique bungalows. The property is set high on a clifftop, surrounded by palm trees, tropical fruit, and flowers, and features stunning views of the sparkling waters of the South Pacific lagoon.

Each bungalow at this adults-only resort offers a comfortable sitting area and a furnished terrace. They offer either garden views or panoramic views of the lagoon and coastline. All rooms feature stylish décor, a TV and free movies, and a bathroom with toiletries and towels. Some Bungalows also offer a private plunge pool.

Full room service is available from 7:00 until 21:00 each day from Mangoes Restaurant which serves luscious seafood and island specialties. A light tropical breakfast is included for most rooms.

Overall a great experience staying at mangoes

Property was clean and well maintained. The villa we stayed in was lovely and spacious. Bed was comfy and the “kitchen” area with mini fridge, bench and sink was a nice touch. The pool facilities were maintained daily and the staff were friendly and accommodating

Had to pay extra for air conditioning which was not mentioned anywhere before arriving. Lucky there was fans and windows and it wasn’t too hot so we went without but that would have been nice to know. Also the lighting in the villa was dim and could be upgraded as it was harder to see at night.

Nice view and walking distance to Port Vila.

You can walk to Port Vila from the resort and the view was nice from our room.

The constant noise from surrounding properties (barking dogs, traffic, etc). The villa we were in is due for a renovation (mould/mildew in bathroom, etc). You’re very close to the villa next door and if they are on their balcony talking you can see and hear them clearly.

Very Good

Convenient location, reasonably close to to town but still quiet and private. Ken the bus driver who was often at the apartments was extremely helpful. Gardens lovely. Enjoyed having private plunge pool and view of lagoon. Found communication when booking efficient, answered our questions promptly. Staff at resort always helpful.

Overall enjoyed our stay,as previously mentioned lighting a bit dim and paying for air conditioning even though we didn’t need to use it every day.

The pools were nice. We had a private plunge pool but the neighbours could see in if they looked, which is fine as they didn’t. Food was great. Location also good. Buses go past regularly (they have the B on the plates and only cost 150vu per person)

As mentioned the private plunge pool could have been more private. Some rooms you could see right in to though. Also the workers take breaks in the gardens very close to the bungalow which is fine but they can see you.

Great resort, great food

Loved the private pool in Lagoon View villa & restaurant food was great quality.

No blind on back half glass door, room was not dark at all at night. We had to pay $20 per day extra for air conditioning after we could not find the remote and asked and they advised it is extra. The restaurant is expensive.

Amazing place with beautiful garden,lovely pools and very nice&helpful stuff.

Light breakfast, but very nice, we love especially home made croissants.Location is great for people who prefer to stay out of busy town,but it's very easy to get a driver and be in the centre in 5 mins.We were so happy to enjoy beautiful garden, lovely pools and calm atmosphere of the resort.

Room was luxury. Bed ginormous. Staff lovely and sociable. Gym and tennis court fun.

Very good accommodation in Port vila

Very good hotel with spacious, clean rooms. The second time we stayed here, we were given a room with a nice veranda overlooking the Portvila harbour. What I particularly liked at this hotel was their staff. Easy going, smiling and forthcoming staff, yet very professional. The hotel's restaurant served delicious food.

The last time we stayed there, the toilet cistern was running... The breakfast was a bit pricey compared to the quantities served, and the way they were pricing breakfast was confusing.

The real asset of this hotel is its staff!

The staff of the hotel at the reception and restaurant were very friendly, forthcoming and helpful. Spacious rooms and very good views of the harbour from specific rooms.

Breakfast was included, but when we ordered that breakfast, quantities were very, very small and with limited variety. Thus, you are in a way "forced" to order the extras, which are chargeable. Otherwise, you will be left feeling hungry...

A lovely relaxing stay with excellent customer service.

The staff were lovely and extremely helpful for all our enquiries that we had during our stay. The food at the restaurant is delicious. The massages were excellent. There are good facilities at this resort such as several pools and a tennis court. The resort is adult only so there are no children around and it has a very relaxing vibe.

The breakfast that you get included with your booking is quite misleading. It is a 'light breakfast' option meaning its only toast, fruit and muesli and you have to pay extra for a proper breakfast. The hotel restaurant is quite expensive. The phones in the rooms don't work and they don't tell you this until you try and use the phone so you can't call for room service, reception or security. There was a fair bit of mold in the shower.

Classic Port Vila Hotel

Loved the lap pool overlooking the lagoon! The restaurant is lovely, too, with great food. The staff are very polite and helpful. It's good that you get the option of being able to pay via a bank transfer.

The only thing I didn't like was having no air-conditioning/a decent ceiling fan in the room! The windows are only good if there is a breeze, and the ceiling fans didn't really get a good breeze going at the highest speed. It made for a hot nights sleep.

Loved the hill top views and villa layout. It was also a perfect location to catch the evening breeze. Special mention to dinner time cooking team. The meals were delicious and well priced. Lovely combination of freshness, texture and flavours. Presentation was also of a high standard.

A lovely tropical getaway.

The view from our bungalow was stunning. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Always ready to greet you with a big smile. The gardens are very well maintained and adds a very nice tropical atmosphere. The pools are nice and well maintained. The rooms were clean and well appointed.

Wonderful resort - would certainly return

I loved the setting in beautiful tropical gardens. Spacious bungalow, super comfortable bed, excellent shower. Small kitchen area in the bungalow was useful - sink, fridge and kettle provided. Polite and friendly staff.

It would be great to see some vegan food options on the dining menus please. The surrounding streets may feel a bit uncomfortable to walk around at night as there is no lighting and they are quite quiet streets.

We loved looking out on our view every morning.

We loved the location of the hotel, the view from our room was spectacular.

I think the hotel needs a bit of a reno. Some of the woodwork needs replacing.

Great place if you need to "chill" for a few days

Breakfast was good. Location a little out of town and not really for walking (I used taxis / buses all the time)

All good. I was resting from a lot of sailing and found the hotel an real oasis in the midst of all of the activities at the marina.
